Museum of Natural History, Merrion St., Dublin 2

About the project: This project was commissioned by the Office of Public Works Musem Division in response to design proposals to extend this much-loved historic landmark building. The lightweight glass structure that has been designed for the project will sit elegantly on the side of the building, providing the museum with much-needed facilities, including a caf, shop and lecture hall, as well as the space to incorporate audio-visual backup to the main exhibition space. The project also involves refurbishment and conservation of the historic structure. The project is currently at design stage, and further details will be added as work progresses.
